I booked a Holiday Package with Airfare and Sightseeing from Delhi to Leh, Ladakh for a week in July-August 2012 and am satisfied with my experience. The arrangements (hotel / food / transportation / guides) were as specified in the website and met my expectations. The pricing was definitely reasonable and good value for money.
Some minor inconveniences -
The travel voucher is issued on the last week with around 4-5 days to spare. Yatra should try to issue these atleast 2 weeks in advance.
One sales rep was too pushy to make a sale (which is probably the case with most travel agents). I finally booked with another rep who did not try to rush me into booking.
About the Location Ladakh (unrelated to Yatra.com)
Altitude sickness was indeed a problem. Me and my spouse had a headache for the entire week.
Mountain roads are not well developed and the long drives in Mahindra Scorpio to Pangong Lake and Nubra Valley are stressful and exhausting.
Perpetual Altitude sickness and bad roads made Ladakh a poor choice for our vacation.
I would definitely recommend Yatra and consider Yatra for future Holiday Packages.
