I had booked a room in hotel heritage - TG rooms Kolkata for my husband's stay for one night.
When he arrived there at 11:30 pm after finishing his work, the hotel staff told him very rudely that there was no booking by his name. How come Yatra send me the confirmation mail then?
So I called up Yatra to make some alternate arrangement, after several attempts at customer care, at around 12 finally the Yatra customer care lady said we've arranged a room in Hotel Jagannath. She also confirmed that since airport drop was included in the earlier booking, my husband would get it at Jagannath as well. When he arrived there after successfully hailing a taxi himself at 12 in the night, hotel jagannath staff says we don't have any confirmation from Yatra, so you'll have to pay yourself.
By now, my husband was sick and tired of all this drama waiting out in the cold and had an early morning flight to catch, he decided to just go with it. I tried calling customer care again but their hotels section had closed for the day and would reopen the next morning. Finally, my husband had to pay for his stay and did not get any transfers to the airport either.
Needless to say, such DISGUSTING and SHODDY service by a company like Yatra makes me think where all the travel companies are heading.
