When I was a child, I have seen guys riding Yamaha rx100, screaming with its 2t noise leaving all other bikers behind showing their masculinity to girls. At that time I would say when I grow up I will ride this legend.

I went to mech engg and my parents asked me if I needed a bike, replied yes, searched for Yamaha rx 100 , came to know it was banned due to emissions . I instantly cried and I didn’t sleep for nearly 1 week. After a heavy hang out I went for bajaj pulsar 180, rode it for 1.5 yrs spent nearly 10000/-for it s maintenance.

I felt really sad in wasting my parent’s money so I decided to sell it. I got rs25000/ only again a big loss of money. So I decided if I want to buy a bike I will buy the legend, a dream of my school days. I finally headed towards the legend, the universal star, the emperor, the super biker THE YAMAHA RX 100.

I brought a 3rd hand 1987 Rx 100 and I rode it, rode it, I can’t say my experience oh what a thrill, speed thrills for Yamaha Rx 100, I can’t stop riding it for a second. And the most important thing is, this bike helped me a lot and it never let me down.

I use to ride it in my college days screaming around the campuses challenging all pulsers, TVS, girls looking by, parked in front of college gates. Everybody in my college wanted to drive it but I will not let anybody to handle this legend because it is my heart. We used to go for long tours it’s a pleasure to ride this legend enjoying the roads.

I rode Rx from Chennai to Trivandrum along with my friends. They use to stare at me when I accelerate they can t believe how a 98cc mean machine can move forward with such an acceleration beating all others. See what an acceleration this bike has compared to others, a true performing legend we can say. Aim stunned to see the air cooling of this bike I stepped my leg muscle on to the silencer amazed to see the drastic cooling of metals, similarly I did so in karizma my leg skin got burned .Not able to believe right , this is the fact. See the quality of metals the Japanese made Rx has. When we moved towards the village, an old man was staring at me asking whether Yamaha relaunched this bike. That’s the curiosity people have when they see this bike. 21kms away from tvm my frd bike spark plug got exploded it’s the tvs apache 150.so we went on to help him find him the mechanic and to buy a new spark plug. After 2 hours of waiting we at last reached tvm. From there we went to ponmudi, a high hill range area, my bike climbing with almost in 2 gear while p200, karizma, struggling with 1 gear. I helped to push p200 to move forward its engine booted out. I reached at the top of the hill accelerating; I can see the clayish ground respecting the Rx allowing it to go while other bikes showering the clay, asking help form people. That **shows the Rx ability to ride in all road conditions, its torque, its body tactics, and its ability to maneuver with any kind of roads

* Again we went to beach with almost straight road Rx 100 accelerating in the first position, my frds struggling to catch up with me. That’s shows its power and torque band at top speed. Its responds according to our wish.

A ported and over bored Rx 100 will do 0-60 in less than 4.2s. Incredible right.

We parked beside the hotel, after lunch a girl asked me for a ride with me. Iam just staring at her why despite of all other bikes she has asked me for a ride. See how impressive the Rx is. Simple, attractive, handsome bike.

After 1 week we returned to Chennai, enjoyed the tour very much along with my friends. My frds stepped their bikes for servicing after a very long journey but what I did is only a wash to keep my Rx shining. Not a single bolt got loosened in that journey. Everything is as perfect as new. That’s shows its reliability.

What is the use in new generation tech applied to new generation bikes .dtsi, dtsfi, etc is there any use in that. A bike 23 yrs old can prove to be the king of Indian roads why cant newest bikes?

I will say rx100 is an impressive piece of engineering and it ruled, rules, will rule the Indian roads forever. (ALL RESPECT TO YAMAHA RD 350). We can say it is the iron man of Indian roads.
