Is it yamaha really back?. Review on Yamaha R15

Hello everyone, here I am not going to explain the technical specs because all you bike lovers already read on various websites. I am an owner of this bike and like to share plus and minus points of this bike.

Everyone compare this bike with Karizma, Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi and sometime with Apache RTR Fi. But actually this bike can't be compare only on the basis of CC because there are several things which need to be consider like aerodynamics, weight, riding position and so on.

So, let's come on the bike, this bike have outstanding looks and no indian bike comes closer to that. From rear there is nothing exciting but many of them saying change the stock tyres and must be fatter tyres. So, those guys please listen carefully, definately we bikers know more than others but those enginners are not mad because tyres is not only about looks those are also responsible for handling, braking, mileage. And this bike have a soft compound rubber tyres which spread little bit when you ride the bike, so tyres stick with the road and gives you wonderful handling, cornering and have a progressive braking(due to rear disc brakes) which is wonderful, so person sitting behind you will not fall very often on you on hard braking.

I bought this bike for city driving and need to mention everyone just turn atleast once when I cross them and that's attention is exciting like you watch in all bike advertisements. Horn of this bike is like in Honda Activa, so nothing exciting about the horn but not bad either because this is little loud and stand out from the crowd. Those able to get a test ride before buying, I like to mention that you never like this bike in test ride until you go on the racing track because low power in the 1-2nd gear but from 3rd having much power for the city driving and at the speed of 40, you can drive in 6th gear without problem. For test riding this bike need to already run atleast 100kms because when I bought this bike then quite difficult to find the neutral and engine was not smooth but after running 100kms the engine is smooth now and no problem in finding neutral.

Riding position required some time to adjust with your body, if you are not familiar with the sport biking. Secondly seat of this is not comfortable and you will feel pain after drive of 1 hour. Fuel efficiency is not god either currently I am getting an average of 30kmpl, and hope this will improve after 500kms of riding.

Remember this is new technology bike which have 6 gears, car's coolent technology, outstanding looks, if driving on highway then no bike comes closer to this in looks or handling, but let's see how the yamaha handle the servicing and solve the costumer problems. So, I think yamaha is back and no disappoint if you spend 1.1L for this bike, and thanks to those not buying this bike so atleast those already bought it get some exclusivity on the roads.
