First of all I want you all to know that I am a dissatisfied P220 owner and its review too is for all 2 see.  Since I was dissatisfied with it I was waiting for this bike too eagerly.

Since there is no Yamaha dealer in Nashik, I rode down to Pune to buy this bike. My ride to Pune from Nashik was on my P220. I took it along with all documents to sell it off and buy this bike. Now what I am about to share is not what you all have been reading about this bike in other reviews.

The dealer gave me a Brochure stating the specs of this bike. The specs had nothing much beyond what you get on the net. I asked him about the Acceleration and top speed. He said that the top speed achieved on testing tracks was 130+ which I found hard to digest but still carried on.

Next he told me that 0-60 is within 4 seconds, which again was way too much considering this was a 150 cc with 17BHP and weighed 130 kgs. I then asked him the colour options to which he replied that 2 options were available i.e. 1 black and 2nd blue. I asked him to show me a Blue YZF R15. He replied that Blue was not available for Display. I then asked him to give me a Test Ride of the Black one that was on Display. He replied that Since YZF is a premium Bike it was not available for test Ride.

Now this was getting really hard. The dealer wanted me to part with Rs:1, 08, 980/= even without even having a feel of the bike. I told him I had come all the way from Nashik with the sole purpose of buying it and I wanted a Ride or else I won't. but, he was stubborn. I finally gave hima Blank Cheque and told him that if anything happens to the bike The cheque and my P220 was his. This formula Worked and I got to ride it but only half a kilometer. I was glad.

The riding position was far better than my P220. I was glad that it passed my first test. But the Height of the Bike is too short and since I am a bit tall I felt a bit funny. Next was the ride. Freinds, the moment I came out of the showroom on the bike, ifelt that I was riding a "All f art and no s hit" bike. I really mean it guys, This bike is no meaner or faster as advertised. It only has the Sports bike looks. It is just better than the Pulsar 180 and not even close enough to my 20+ BHP Pulsar 220 or even Karizma which is 17+ BHP. This bike does not pack the Punch during Pick up or the Cruise mode. And to top it all it sounds exactly like Gladiator. The rear tires are too thin for a sports Bike and from the rear, you wouldnt even know that it is a YZF 15R. Disappointed....way too disappointed was I!

Leave alone the Half kilometer that I was allowed to test the Bike, I took a U turn, Came back to the dealer, Picked up my cheque and my 220 and headed straight back to Nashik.

The best part happened as I was about to leave!  The Mechanics at the Showroom came up to me and said " This is the reason why we do not give Test Rides of this Bike".

Moral of the Story is " Do not buy it without a test ride, because if if you have a test ride, in all probablity you won't buy it"

Bye and thanks for your reading!
