This was my first (and second) attempt at using Wings and needless to say, I am done with them. My first experience happened at Pune airport. I had booked a taxi to pick me up at 11:45 pm. No sms confirmation, no driver details. 11:40 pm and I caught a Wings ground member at the airport. He was helpless to solve my problem. We had to create a huge ruckus and called the office several times before a taxi was scrambled from somewhere to pick us up.
My mistake was to use them again. This time to drop me to the airport. Again no sms confirmation. This time I called them up 30 min before my scheduled pick up time and got the shock of my life when they said I had no booking. I had lots of luggage and even though it was day time travel, there was no way I could have got it through an auto. Again the service desk was unable to accommodate a last minute booking and I took my business to Cel Cabs who gave me a prompt response and a good deal.
Pune has a long way to go in terms of radio taxi services. Wings is a perfect example of how not to do it.
