You can deny the fact that Windows is an essential part of our lie, be it our house or our personal computers and laptops. If you got the irony, well and good and for those who didn’t, I’m talking about the Windows Bill Gates provides us with, which is Microsoft Windows to be precise.
Since time immemorial, Microsoft has been ruling the computer business making world class software’s and products, making a space for itself in every home throughout the country. My review is about Windows 10, the latest and most frequent edition to the Microsoft OS family.
Windows 10 released on July 29, 2015 after which it was officially available for downloading. While most prefer to stick to the traditional Windows 7 or 8, which have made their presence felt for quite some time now, I will give you a few reasons on why you should opt for Windows 10 instead.
1.) Free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8 users – Now this is for the first time that Microsoft has been so generous to its users and like they say, when something comes for free, never dump it. Windows 10 is available absolutely free for users who have been using Windows 7 or 8 OS. Users will get a notification when they connect to the internet and can then upgrade to Windows 10, for free of cost. What is better than this? A free and genuine version of Windows 10.
2.) Exotic look and visuals – At the time of its launch, Windows 10 created a huge discussion for its visuals look which were said to be an improved vision for the future of computing. The flagship product of Microsoft combines some very essential features into one great product. The OS’s tablet mode resembles the previous Windows 8.1 look while the normal desktop mode gives the Windows 7 feel. Besides, the graphics quality and appearance have been greatly worked on which gives a crisper look.
3.) Fast booting and Shutdown – Do you remember how much time it took XP to shut down or start? Mine took approx. 1 minute. Well now, this really annoying feature has been dealt with and with such brilliance. Windows 10 starts in just a few 10 seconds and shuts down in a mere 10 seconds as well. This is a much loved feature of the new OS which is highly appreciable.
4.) Inbuilt features, better performance – Gone are the days when one had to install drivers for graphics, audio and other BIOS devices in the computer. No need to do these things again as Windows 10 comes with pre-built graphics drivers that automatically accommodate according to the computer.
These are some of the great features of the new installment from Microsoft. While most will debate on whether to own this new product of Windows, I will give it a thumbs up. And by the way, Change is good, be it however small. Recommended.
