I have (unfortunately) Whirlpoolwashing machine, fully automatic. The machine is having features like hotwash/ whitmagic. The purchase price was Rs 17500/-. The machine completed 2 year warranty and broke down !!!! wah whirlpool wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . A MASTER piece of design.... See to it that customer pay you back on maintanance charge the moment warranty get over......A really marvellous Design work. The machine's valve (inlet pump) is horrible with failing twice in a span of 6-7 months period. First the inlet valve failed in Feb 2004, so has to be replaced. The cost that incurred was Rs 620/- (Rs 350/- for valve + Rs Rs 270/- service charge) Again in Sept 2004 the same complaint, Valve has to be changed Rs 703/- (Rs 425/- for valve + Rs 278/- service charge). If I have to pay Rs 1400/- per six months, The product is just baakwas....Whirlpool should pay me all the money back. JUNK and BAKWAAS Whirlpool PRODUCTS. WHIRLPOOL products are JUNK/ rubbish, even unfortunately I have fridge, which continues to give complaint about door , coming down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An unfortunate fellow.
UPDATE:
Around 23th Aug 2006 complainat was registerd to whirlpool service center (for Maharashtra, at Pune). On 25th Aug engineer cam & told that panel board has gone bad and will be changed
in few (?!) days.
I kept on following for the panel board and was told board will be shipped to Nagpur (my machine) from Pune , the reposnses were :
is already shipped on the way
is at nagpur
Dont know
(typicall standard answers)
Finally changed the board on 25th Sept 2006.
On 26th Sept machine stopped working !!!
Again contacted, Nagpur/ Pune offices.......the engineer told that now lid switch has gone bad and will be changed in a day or two.
Again same problem there was no lid switch available---> kept on following.
on 2nd nov some changed with another but old switch. hehehehe
On 3rd/4th Nov machine started beeping continously, with no drainining happening.
Again called the engineer, this time he told torque motor has gone bad, Now they have take the machine to facotry for repair (at Nagpur) & YET TO GET ...ehehe
During all these interactions I also interacted not just with service office (franchise) but a whirlpool employee head for the nagpur region.....I dont even now remeber to whom I sopke at PUne.
Till now I have spent close to 1000 RS, and waitig for details for factory repair. The machine is still under 5 years warranty. (ANOTHER BIG JOKE)
