This review may sound like a work of fiction, exaggeration and biased opinion. Let me assure you, every word written in this review is a fact and if some one needed, supporting documents can also be provided (any ways I am planning to sue Whirlpool for mental harassment and act of fraud).


I have learned two lessons after buying Whirlpool Washing machine –


1)      Never buy a product whose after sales service is not good


2)      Never buy a product assuming "Expensive" is "Good Quality"


I bought Whirlpool fully automatic front loading washing machine three years back from its authorized dealer RA (from Baroda). Very next day it started vibrating badly. We called the company on same day and registered the complaint for the problem. On one turned for some days. After rigorous follow-ups an engineer visited us and told us that this machine works this way only.


Some times later this problem grew bigger and the vibrations became intolerable. And then started our painful journey with series of follow-ups, raised blood pressure and getting robbed by whirlpool engineers. I got transferred to Mumbai and thought we will get better services in the Metro. I must admire one thing about Whirlpool. They are consistent. Across geography they give you the most hopeless service in its sector.


1)      Our complaints was never got answered immediately (No exaggeration) – Average turn around time is more than two weeks (proof can be provided on demand).


2)      For our one problem (badly vibrating at the time of spin) 15 engineers have visited us so far. Every one gave us different reason for this issue.


a.       Engineer 1 – It works this way only (No solution. Live with it)


b.      Engineer 2 – There is a part (bolt) missing. We followed up for 3 months (no exaggeration), this supposedly missing bolt could not be found in the inventory.


c.       After 3 months another engineer came – He suggested us to buy a trolley from him as a solution (he minted money on that trolley and we were back to original problem).


d.      Again series of follow-ups and engineer visits happened. Every time (after a considerable delay of some weeks) they used to give us a new reason (but no solution).


Our last complaint was registered on 19th June 2008 (complaint number – 13684) for leakage in the washing machine. After a week an engineer visited and did not finish his job and left. When called the company, they gave us a new complaint number (2345). No one has turned up so far. We have been calling Whirlpool on almost all alternate days. Every time we get the response and promise from them that they are sending an engineer by evening on the same day. No one has turned up so far.


I have lost my 30000 in this machine. Please you do not get into this mess.
