I purchased Whirlpool Washing Machine in July 2011 for Rs. 10, 000. It had a warranty of two years. 1 month after the expiry of warranty, a huge sound started coming from the machine. After a long followup, they got back to me that Bearing/TSP/PCB need to be replaced.
They charged me Rs. 2350. Now again the machine started developing the same problem. They say that its the problem of bearing and that needs to be replaced. Repair cost works out to Rs. 4500. Today, the Technician from Authorized service center called me.
I told him its ridiculous to spend Rs. 6850 on a 10, 000 washing machine. He told that all the washing machines develop problems after warranty period. Does this mean that all these companies are making washing machines with a life of only 2 years?
