Change the colour of your eyes!. Review on Wesley Jessen Contact Lens

I have always hankered after different coloured eyes, since I was about 18. The cost was always the prohibiting factor as coloured lenses were very expensive. However it is now possible to have different

coloured eyes everyday of the week! I went to Spec Savers who made me an appointment to see the contact lens specialist, this cost me £25 for the test and assessment. As I already wear glasses and am happy with my ’face furniture’ I just wanted coloured lenses, they optician thought this very odd, but was happy to assist. He examined my eyes and then ’tried’ a lens in my eye. I have very dark brown eyes, a bit like muddy pools I always think, so thought the violet colour would brighten things up a little! On looking in the mirror I could straight away notice the difference in colour. It wasn’t as bright as I had hoped, but the violet really did show, albeit a bit darker than my expectation.

The lens is very comfortable after a few minutes of wearing, as I had never tried contact lenses before I was very surprised! It did feel a little ’odd’ and I could feel the lens with my eyelid everytime I blinked. This sensation wore off after about 10 minutes though. The lens itself has a ’clear’ hole for the pupil, so vision is not impeded by the surrounding ’coloured’ iris part of the lens. The lens also has a very small W and J on the coloured part, I find this very handy as I am able to tell if the lens is inside out or not! I find the great thing about coloured lenses is, if you drop one you can easily find it again! I have seen many friends hunting for ’clear’ lenses with no joy!I find that I am able to drive and carry out normal daily activities with no problems.

These lenses are designed to be worn for a maximum of one month, then new ones will be required. This is to minimise the risk of damage to the eyes from proteins that will build up on the lens, from natural process of the eyes. I tend to wear my lens once a week for a couple of hours, so as they come in a pack of 2 for £20 it is quite ecomonical for me. The lenses will be supplied with 2 bottles of solution and lens pots to wash and store your lenses safely.
