W3Schools is a website where you can learn almost every languages that are essential for web development and designing. I have been using w3school since my junior college.
I preferred this website because of its simplicity. I have learned languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, XML from w3school tutorials.
The SQL tutorials provided by w3schools are also explained in the simple English language such that they are easy to understand and remember. If you are beginner and want to start from HTML5 then I definitely suggest you to look at their tutorials regarding to HTML5 and CSS. You can also edit and execute existing examples there.
Everything in w3school is explained in simple English language so that every one who is new to computer programming languages can easily understand. You don't have to pay for it nor you need to register on their website. Just go there and select language from which you want to start learning. It is good idea to start from basic HTML5 and CSS. The online experience when using this website is fabulous as it is very fast to load and very much responsive. Anyone can interact with it very easily.
