Recently my friend purchased a red highline verson polo-petrol 1.2 liter. Well the car appeared to me , looked geogus carrying a huge vw batch., so was really excited and open the drive door and took my place behind the wheel., the first thing I notised was its superb dash board quality...it was really impresssing and seems lik the dashboard concept is much borrowed from subara ( the similar design a/c vents and the flow of center consol of the dashboard leading till the hand break...and the red back lighting giving to the speedometer is just superd sporty...similar to the vw family(vw jetta) unlike the skoda where they give stupid outdated green colour(fabia & laura) .

Started the ignition and surprisingly 1) the dead paddel is missing hmm I wonder is it the cost cutting act done by vw ?? K...coming back , there wasnt not much vibration though its a 3-cylender....which is borrowed from the fabia 1.2 htp petrol . And tuned it an additional 5 bhp. , along with tuned gare ratio. And so caught the high quality gear nob and changed the gear...and notised that the gears are as smooth as butter....it was just like wow...a feeling of newer felt so so gud before in a hatch.., the ride quality was really outstanding with great stearing feel ..with nice soft touch...hmm use of hiogh quality material...yea....feely lik yea baby u r amazing with nice comfortabe seating position with hight addjuster ...and stearing is nicely placed high ..just like the fabia....which makes u feel lik ur driving a much expensive car....and tipically german built ....hmm tough and solid built.

But...but...but...wait!!!!!!!!!!!! The important thing IS how ever the car might be but the end of the day its the heart of the car which is important ...ENGINE ....though its vw , has a high built quiality , superior ride quality and comfort but after all its JUST & JUST 3-cylinder engine and only 1200 cc -which a matter just 100 cc more then santro ., and for this additional 100 cc would u mind paying double the peice of a santro!!!!!!!!!! Common its NO JOKE! And producing just 75 bhp...which is lesser powered when compared to the cheaper chev beat, and even lesser when compare to the maruthi suzuki ritz..., and wat makes vw to do this??? Though they are selling there products at a premium ..., at this offer price the vw should hav powered the polo with the 1.2 liter T.S.I engine...which produces more than 100 bhp!!! And its the same heart which powers the polo in other europen countries and this turbo charged engine is much much powerful , refined and fuel efficient when compare to the outdated 1.2 liter 3 cylender engine which is sold in indian polo and the sluggish fabia..which u feel initially ok and gud enough in the city limits BUT once ur on the highway ...u struggle hard even to overtake lorries and busses...now that's not at all acceptable from a +6 lach rupee + car..balanos , logans and even the outdated qualis will easily eat u up in the highways..., and the oniy compitation would be the alto's , maruti 800's , pumto 1.1 liter , santro's etc...and of course the fabia's -(but its rarely seen on the road...a super flopper and a looser just because of its sluggish chacter 3-cyl engine.)

Not its up to you guys like what do you want. Its just the quality or the power. I am enthusiastic about driving so I prefer a swift petrol or a punto 1.4 petrol, or the i-20 1.4.petrol any time.
