I still remember when I bought my 1st mobile & chose Vodafone as my service provider. I was very happy with their service until day before yesterday when I realized that I was not treated as a valuable customer even though I have been very loyal towards them for the last five years.
I reacharged my mobile online on their site with the amount Rs. 50, but I did not receive a message stating that my mobile was recharged which usually comes within a minute. I chose to wait for 10 minutes but then I got worried, like any other customer would get. Even after waiting I did not receive a message that's when I called the customer care & my tale of bad experience started there. A male customer support executive attended my call & I told him what happened. He was listening to me politely & then he told me that his system shows no detail of my recharge. I told him that I received a Thank you msg which had the order id then why I did not received the recharge message. After this he started arguing with me & thats when I told him that I can provide him the order id. On hearing this he disconnected the call. I was very much angry but more then that I was shocked that a customer support can do this.
Only because my money was at stake & could not afford to lose it this way, I decided to call the customer care again. Once again, a male customer support executive attended my call & I told him the behaviour of an executive who attended my call prior to this. But he did not even ask me what happened forget about apologising. The only thing he told me was that "Madam, please bataye me aapki kya sahayata kar sakta hu?". I told him about the recharge thing & he inreturn told me to wait for 24 hours & assured me that my money would not get wasted.
I received the recharge message after about 90 minutes & dont have any complaint about the delay because sometimes there's occurs a network glitch & I understand that but this is not the way a customer agent should treat their customers.
This was my first bad experience with vodafone & if I ignore this then i've had a wonderful experience with vodafone & thats why I am not going to port my number only because of that jerk. Vodafone should employ decent people with a lots of patience to deal with Customers.
