How to reach Kodaikanal & Resort:
Train is the best mode.If you are travelling from Chennai then go
by pandian express and you can get down at kodai road junction.One
problem with this is train will reach this junction in the early
morning around 5.30 so from there if you plan to go by bus to
kokaikanal means then it is not advisable that too in the peak season
bus will be fully occupied before reaching kodai road in that case you
can goto madurai and from there you can travel by bus which will take 4
more hours to reach kodaikanal.If you don want to shuffle like this
then you can book ticket in KPN travels from chennai to kodaikanal
& vice versa.Once you reach kodaikanal just ask where coakers walk
is?any one will guide you.Resort is very near to the coakers walk
entrance.
Resort Location:
This is my fourth visit to kodaikanal.I will rate this as my best
because of villa retreat, where we stayed.Top two places to see in
kodaikanal is Lake & Coakers walk.From the resort coakers walk is
just 10 seconds walk and lake is just 2 minutes walk and even the
shopping places and bus stand is 5 minutes walk.Above will make anyone
who knows about kodaikanal to realize how great the resort location
is.Just bcoz I have mentioned that the resort is close to bus stand and
shopping places, plz dont assume that it is in very crowded area.Its
completely in a away from crowd location.You will get the same view
from the resort as of the view from Coakers walk.
Resort also has very good lawn, where they serve food also.View from the
lawn, specially sunrise(It may be next to impossible for most of us to
wakeup in the early morning and see sunrise in the kodaikanal weather)
and sunset are really superb.
Room Description:
Rooms are really good.Though you cant compare to the ones in 3
& 5 start hotels.One night I stayed in standard roon and next night
I stayed in Deluxe room.
Standard Rooms:
Rooms are spacious and they have a long
enough bed.They provide couple of cushion chairs and a small table to
keep food.Hot water is available all the times.They provide television
also in the room, which is not that great(who bathers about
television, we travelled all the way to kodaikanal to explore the places
& enjoy the cool weather.Few will do this mistake after going to
some place on vaccation, they will spend most of their time in watching
television)
Room Tariff:
1050/night for couple(Off season)
1350/night for couple(season)
Deluxe room:
It has all the facilities as of standard room and its in the first
floor so we got a good view and more over Deluxe rooms has balcony also.
Room Tariff:
1350/night for couple(Off season)
1690/night for couple(season)
Apart from this, they have Classic rooms and cottages also. I felt the room tariff is less considering the location.

Best Experience:The best thing we had in the resort is
sitting in the beautiful, greeny lawn and having sip of coffee in the
morning and in the evening.The best thing we had is, I almost cant see
anyone sitting near to me because of the mist.Being in chennai and
bangalore where we always covered by the polluted air and having
covered up by the mist like that was really an amazing experience.
One night we had dinner there around 9.30 pm in the lawn.WOW
WOW!.No words to describe that.whatever all say that a candle night
dinner or some other forms of the dinner is really romantic and the
best form of dinner to have and if those come to this resort and have
dinner in the lawn then they will say this is the best.
If you are staying here then plz don take food in the room unless it rains.They have lot of flowers around the lawn
Worst Experience: Food quality:
I wont say food is bad but the taste is not consistent. First day we
ordered noodles and it was too good and next day we ordered the same
noodles but it was pathetic and too spicy.Menu is also very limited.In
non veg they have only chicken, they don have mutton or fish items.In
veg side also bit of limited items only.
Room Service:
It was not that fast.Even to ask for water I have to call more that twice
