City Pride takes pride in being the first multiplex in Pune. It started somewhere around early 2001. It had 4 screens and each screen has Gold Class and Silver Class. Initially all the young crowd would flock to City Pride before Inox came into existence. City Pride is not very chic as compared to Inox however it can be fairly rated as one of the good Multiplexes in Pune. Though City Pride is located in the Main City it is still a bit away from the Camp area where people can come to shop as well as grab a movie But City Pride is located at Satara road Market Yard which is not avery happening place as far the young crowd is concerned it is more of a commercial trading area.
Even I go to City Pride only in case we are not able to get tickets for Inox :) but also because it is closer to my place (Camp Area). City Pride also has a gaming zone on its ground floor .You would usually find the baccha party playing games there. One more thing I like about City Pride is the parking space it is pretty good and we did not have to park outside on any single time we went there. City Pride has also started another of its branch in Kothrud, I hope it is very useful to the residents staying as it is pretty far away from the other Multiplexes or theatres.
One more advantage would be the low prices of tickets . Its gold class is lower than the normal tickets at other Multiplexes. The screens of the halls are not very good as compared to the new multiplexes that have come up. The screens are much smaller but nevetheless we can make this compromise to the rate of the tickets. And probably things first started may be not foresee the new advance things coming up.
In case if you are not able to get tickets at your favourites Multiplexes you can always try for City Pride,you wont repent going there esp if your motive is to sincerely watch the movie and not just hang out. In that case of course you have many options in Pune :) Hope you guys have a nice time enjoying movies at City Pride. So Long
