VEKH BARATAN CHALLIYAN: Kundli Mein Nir-Dosh! Laughter Riot:
This week's Punjabi release is something everyone can enjoy. When superstitions rule, it can bring alive the safety aspect in each human being.
Bus conductor Jaggi (Binnu Dhillon, 41), and a student Sarla (Kavita Kaushik, 36) on-screen characters fall in love with each other. Jaggi Is Punjabi Jatt and Sarla is Haryanvi Jatt. When she decides to marry Jaggi, a problem arises.
Sarla's father says if their horoscopes match, only then their marriage can take place. After all, he believes in astrology and all the superstitions that come along with it. Kundli mein dosh. Grahon ka chakkar, etc etc.
According to the astrologer, Jaggi is maglik. No, he hasn't come to earth from Mangal graha. It's just that a Manglik person getting married will have his or her spouse either dying or constantly suffering from health issues.
There is an only solution for this superstitious fault - Jaggi must marry a bh first as a cure! A madly-in-love Jaggi agrees!
Even a non-Punjabi speaking person can follow the rest of the comedic proceedings. Language is not a barrier in enjoying the movie.
Kavita is a treat to watch. Binnu has it in him to do justice to his role. He goes hand-in-glove with what is expected of him - bali ka bakra! Both the actors r natural and fit their roles to a T.
Don't forget u've a date with DBC. U'll come out refreshed and craving for more. U can watch it a second time too. In summer, u need something to cool u down. This is it. :-)
BTW, the film is already a hit after two days of release. It's C for comedy and R for romance. Terrific.
