Hi fellow MS members. Am very sorry that I haven't written a review in ages....was busy. However, I have come to write about Veer-Zara, a movie that will definitely live in my heart forever.
I don't know if any of you can remember my review on Kal Ho Naa Ho?? Well, I am going to write this in exactly the same style as that, just to give you an insight of how I feel....hope you enjoy!!

Imagine this. You are Veer Pratap Singh. You are a rescue pilot. You live for flying...it is your heart....your soul....your everything. One day while you are rescuing lives...you meet a muslim girl. She is sweet, yet simple and for some reason your heart gives an urch....soon you fall for her, but as the time comes to tell her, you find out she is engaged....how would you feel? You give up all hope and say goodbye to her, muttering the words
''Sarhad paar ik aisa insaan hai, jo tumhare liye apni jaan dene ko tayar hai.''english translation: remember, across the border, there will always be a man who is ready to give his life for you. You give up all hope.....yet one day you are told that this girl is getting married, and you are to come and take her. You go, full of joy....just to be shattered as her father has a heart attack.....you leave her....saying goodbye.
Yet on your way, you are stopped to give your final sacrifice of love. You are told that you must live the rest of your life in silence in jail, so that your love can live a peaceful life.............and you do....it takes great guts to be Veer Pratap Singh...
Imagine this. You are Zaara Hayaat Khan. You are a boyish girl, full of fun and mischief. One day you go to India, and meet Veer Pratap Singh. At first, you think of him as a nice gentleman. Yet, you come to know more about him, as you are taken to his town. You meet his mother/father (Amitabh Bachan and Hema Malini) and you come to love his land.
You also realise that India and Pakistan are like each other and you realise that all of this argument it to no prevail, as both lands are like each other. Anyway, just when you are about to leave for Pakistan, Veer tells you that he loves you....this leaves you confused, yet you still return to Pakistan to get married to your fiance....yet when you reach Pakistan....you realise that you too have fallen in love with Veer....what should you do now..? It takes a lot of self-control to be Zaara Hayaat Khan...
Imagine this. You are Saamiya Siddiqui, a female Pakistani lawyer. Because of your sex, people are trying to prove you wrong....they want you to lose so that you don't put ideas into other people's head. You are given the case of Veer Pratap Singh, a man who hasn't spoken a word in 22 years. Slowly.....slowly you get to know his story, and you fall in love with it. You want to give Veer his name, his country and his respect back.....you want to give him his identity back. Yet, this seems an impossible task as the whole world is against you....yet you have vowed to prove them wrong...you vow to give Veer justice. It takes great strength to be Saamiya Siddiqui....

I have only outlined a few characters from the movie, as I did not want to tell you the full story, as you have other reviews to do that for you. I just wanted to show you how every character has his/her strong and weak points, and how it has been combined in this classic........we are proud of our country....
Some of the songs in this film are beautiful....especially Tere Liye and Main Yahan Hoon. I also recommend you listen to Do Pal....
Shahrukh Khan was great in the role of Veer Pratap Singh. I am confident that no actor could have done it better than him!
Preity Zinta was sweet as usual in this film and looked fab!
Rani Mukherjee did great acting in this film, and should definitely be commended!
I'm sorry, I haven't written a review in aagggeeesss so I've probably lost my touch....sorry!
