we are living in 21st century,and many of us go to Discos,bars,pubs and Shake their Legs and A*SES to fast Paced crappy stuff(I m taking about senseless remixes),but Music is not just Fast paced crappy stuff.Music can be slow but it should have melody.REMIXES are easy on ears and they Charm us to shake our LEGS but when we Use our Brain,We usual find that Remixes dont have the touch of Melody.
Without a shred of doubt,Madan mohan uncle is one of the finest Music directors in INDIA.Madan mohan Uncle left us about 30 years ago but still we all listen to the valuable Gems that he gave to The INDIAN MUSIC.The hellacious Composer has given Indian music some of the best music in early 50 and late 70's.And of those great Gems Yash chopra has taken some of the songs and recreated the music with MADAN MOHAN'S SON(SANJEEV KOHLI).In This century where we all want our lives to be Fast-paced,YASH UNCLE'S VEER-ZAARA IS AN ATTEMPT MADE TO SHOW THAT INDIAN MUSIC STILL HAS MELODY.Veer Zaara Slaps on the face of all the people who say that Indian music is now over.

1.TERE LIYE
The album Unfolds(begins) with the gleaming,Tere Liye.The song is sung exceptionallywell by ROOP KUMAR RATHOD and Evergreen Lata Mangeshkar. ROOP KUMAR SINGH Is back in form after a long time.The song is slow and has a feeling of Late 80's.The composing is though slow but it is Brilliantly done.The lyrics by JAVED ATKHAR are real gems,Tere liye one of the greatest pen works by JAVED Akthar in his Carrer.

2.MAIN YAHAN HOON
After the Slow and Romantic song,the album takes a PEEPY,HIP-HOP TURN with ''MAIN YAHAN HOON''.The song is sung by UDIT Narayan he yet again does a SUPERB job with it.MAIN YAHAN HOON is Composed in a little Punjabi manner(Especially the tunes without words in between).The song is Mostly Composed by VOILON and PIANO,the Song is easy to ears and Probably the Best track of the Album.

3.YEH HUM Aa GAYA kaha:
This is Slow track but melodious one,it is sung by UDIT NARAYAN and Lata Aunty,The song is sung in a way that it attracts The listener towards it.The lyrics are again well penned and the song is Composed very well and reminds me of a early 80'S.This song though well composed and exceptionally sung but it loses because the song looks too old and outdated type,Nevertheless it can be listened once atleast.

4.Aisa Desh hai Mera:
Aisa desh hai mera is a number that Takes us to the journey to Indian villages setting,The lyrics are Down to earth,the usage of words like''GUDIYA,CHURAN''gives the song a Indian feel.Gurdas Mann and Udit narayan have sung this song and they have succeed in making this song a Memorable one.The composing is Quite youthful but it also has a Touch of Madan mohan.Overall,This song Describes India In few lines(Especially the villages),this song also has a Punjabi PUnCH in it.

5.Do pal:
Sonu nigam and Lata ji are again back with Do pal.The song is though slow but the lyrics are real gems,and it is sung very well.The composing is more of Piano rather than Vilion or drums.Overall,Do pal is the Best romantic of the year after TERE LIYE.

6.Hum to Bhai Jaise hai:
This song reminds me of ''MERE KWABO MAI''of DDLJ,but the tune,lyrics are very different from that song.Lata Ji does a petty good job but on whole it is strictly okay.

7.Aaya hai tere darr par Deewana:
This is a traditional qawalli,the singers are competent with their Job,Javed Saheb again does an honest job,but These Days there are no ''MUJRA'' thing happening,so this Number is also okay but it is good for variety,it will appeal more to old age people rather to Teens.

8.LODI:
This is a special song of the album as it is related to a ''PUNJABI FESTIVAL''.Gurdas Mann again proves that he is the king of Punjabi Music,Udit narayan again Impress,But its the lyrics of Javed Saheb that Steals the show.The lyrics are again Down-to-earth,but this time they Describes the Relation of a SON-FATHER-MOTHER in comic or light manner.

9.Tum Paas Aa Rahe Ho:
This song is not in the Flick but comes only in ALBUM,Jagjit singh and Lata Mangeshkar have added Soul to this dull Ghazal,the lyrics are good but Composing is not that good,This is a good song to listen and can Attract GHAZAL LOVERS towards it.

10.Jaane Kyun:
This song is also not featured into the movie,Lata ji sings this solo noumber and leaves a heavy impact on the hearts of listeners.

On the whole,VEER ZAARA is not everbody's CUP of tea,it is good album and provides a lot of variety,from a rich collection of love songs to emotional tracks to a patriotic number, a qawalli, a folk song and a ghazal and Yash uncle,the composers and Javed Saheb deserves Applause not only for Creating a good album but also for swimming against the tide and making a Album like VEER-ZAARA in 21 century
