Hi,
I got a dialup net account from vsnl for my day way back in March 2001. I bought it from the Chennai VSNL branch. It was being used from Vellore, a town near Chennai.
The customer service was good. They were very helpful whenever I rang them up. All was fine till a month back. One fine day, bang came the news that people living in places where VSNL does not have a direct presence must go in for a net connection only through BSNL, the telephones people. I dont understand the logic behind this. Whether I buy a connection directly from VSNL or through BSNL, im paying the same charge for my dialup online time. This is sheer idiocracy on part of the bureaucracy.
Okay, if you live in cities, then you can sure go in for VSNL, and if not make sure that u go in for VSNL (no other choice) only through BSNL.
