Upgrad is just a fraud, to scam innocent people. Until you give them money they will promise you everything you want to hear and after that the counselor themselves won't pick up your call who is considered as our first point of contact.
I finished my BE in 2011 and started working in 2016. I was actively looking for a consultancy that can help in applying for US, I tried Y-Axis, Abhinav but they all said that we can apply but your visa won't get approved so they didn't suggest me to go for US. Then I got to know about Upgrad. My consultant there was Mayank Sharma. I was not sure about the course but then I decided to go for MS in Artificial Intelligence. He said if I am going with Upgrad, instead of 2 years of course in US I will have to do it only 1 year as half of the university course content I will cover with Upgrad IIITB ACP in Data Science course. I asked him about the process how everything will work. So he said first I have to give IELTS exam and submit all the required documents and as soon as I will submit my documents they will start my application. University provides the acceptance letters within 10-15 days and then show them funds proof, university will provide I20 and we can go for visa by June. When I asked him about my chances to get Visa as all other consultancies are refusing so he said that I can say that I started my course in India and going US to finish it so the chances are high that I will get that too and when I checked the universities they have on their portal the best ranking was for Yeshiva University so he said with good university the chances of visa increase. I thought he must have done this so many times so he is telling the truth.
After many discussions, I signed up for study abroad program. I live in Bangalore and the university from which I did my BE was in Madhya Pradesh but somehow I managed to get my transcript and other documents by April end and even finished my IELTS exam. When I asked them to fill my application with the yeshiva university, their first response was I will not get accepted as I had few backlogs in my BE (this also I already mentioned in the starting and before paying the fees then Mayank said that is not a problem). When I said the same thing to Upgrad they started saying that they didn't say anything like this and as it is a good university they have their own criteria so I won't get accepted but if I am going for MS in Data Science I MAY get accepted but that is also not sure. I argued with them then they agreed to fill my application with Yeshiva. Then they said that the application portal will open in June end so they will fill it then only (again I was told wrong about this). Finally in June end they filled my application and guess when I got the decision (rejection) for my application, in mid of September ( when I was told that my visa process will also finish by Max July). When I asked them to apply for MS in Data Science in same university they said I am not eligible, I checked for few more universities with them for all I got same answer.
Now I already paid 3 times fees for a course that is worth nothing, got rejected by the university I selected, wasted my 8 months and when I am asking them the same thing they are saying go for other universities and when I asked for visa chances then they cannot assure me anything I can try for visa multiple times.
They don't care about your future or your money. They got their fees and that's all they care about.
I even asked them that I am not going for any abroad university so atleast offer me an additional course in the same fees I already paid, but they are not ready to do that either.
