Faithfully Sincere Movie - Unfaithful. Review on Unfaithful Movie

After watching this movie I was stunned for few minutes, many questions came to my mind. I will leave those unanswered questions for another write up though.

For now I will concentrate on writing this review.

Plot:

Edward and Connie Sumner are decent, happily married couple living in an enviable, cozy house in the suburbs of New York City. To make the family complete are their eight-year-old son, a dog and a housekeeper.

Married for 13 years, this middle aged couple are going through a routine American Life Style - Husband goes to work, Child goes to school and Mom looks after them (Needless to mention Husband makes tons of money to keep all 3 of them happy).

Looks easy life -- Right!!

But every movie needs a twist & turn or else who will watch it (As it is life is too routine for most of us!!).

So here it comes -- Connie bumps into a total stranger (very handsome looking french guy) named paul.

Connie has gone to New York city to complete her routine errands when a snow storm forces her to bump into Paul played by a handsome hunk Oliver Martinez. He offers her support as she is badly bruised by falling down due to storm.

To make her life more difficult she enters his house and gets initial fist aid( was it a first aid or first step towards seduction?).

Paul a French, who is a carefree, not sure what he wants to do in life type of guy. As always man makes the first move towards lady and offers her second date ( was it a second date or just a invitation to meet him?).

Nothing happens on first date/collison (Thank god!!)

The lady decides hesitantly to meet Paul in his studio apartment but is still not ready to give into an extramarital affair (what with her conservative thinking and masked inhibitions).

It takes some effort from Paul to persuade and seduce her into a sexual encounter.

Their encounters become a weekly excursion and then almost a daily one .

She cannot find a way to stop her advances and starts enjoying every bit of it.

They carry their exercises in a public rest rooms too, which for me was little bit on the higher side.

Connie's face starts sparkling with satisfaction and content.She becomes a reckless and neglective mother.

Edward doesn't want to admit there is anything wrong with their marriage until somebody points it out to him there is something peculiar nowadays with his wife.

Edward hires a old detective to look into this, who unfolds the mystery by clicking some breathe taking photographs of both.

What happens next --- I will stop here as it will loose all its suspense if I reveal it now!!

Screenplay: The screenplay is by Alvin Sargent and William Broyles, Jr.

Some of the scenes stand out, like the one when Connie finds out about Paul playing double game with her and driving home in a Rainy storm.

Overall screenplay is excellent.

Cast: Richard gere gives a stunning performance though most of the work is done by Diana Lane. She looks at ease with the role, so does Oliver (French speaking).

Direction: Director Adrian Lyne has distinguished himself as one of the (hollywood) cinema?s leading directors with such films as Jacob?s Ladder, Flashdance, 9 1/2 Weeks, Fatal Attraction, Indecent Proposal? and Lolita.

UNFAITHFUL carries Lyne?s exploration of relationships to new levels of cinema-making

Definitely a watch watch movie!!!!
