It been a while I saw a movie on such a sensitive issue in our society. The way they presented it in the story was extraordinary, however, the screenplay was pretty ordinary.
Start of the movie is very realistic and showcase how it all started. even before the start of the movie, there is a message shown on the screen which says that Punjab has been a victim of these drug issues. It also tells you that Punjab is the Highway of illegal drug transport in the country.
I found the start very interesting and thought that it was captured perfectly. However, it seems that movie is losing the grip in the midway and again end was unexpected.
We are so used to those Happy endings that the end of this movie seems incomplete. Alia and Shahid have poured their heart in this movie. their acting is exceptional and won most of the hearts.
The screenplay would not earn that much of appreciation as they lacked in few areas. Also, I personally feel there could be been a better actor in place of Sardar Police.
Overall its a really good movie if you think you can relate to those people in some way or if you focus only on story and acting.
