ABOUT TULEC

TULEC is supposed to be one of the best computer training institutes in the country offering various courses in software field. Very recently they changed their name to TATA INFOTECH, and changed their tag-line to “if you are serious about computers….join TATA INFOTECH!”. Any way, like NIIT and APTECH, they too have thousands of branches in India, providing ’quality’ education to aspiring programmers. However, as the saying goes all that glitters is not gold, I had a similar experience with these guys! Read on the experience, which I and 3 friends of mine had at TULEC alias TATA INFOTECH.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH TULEC

When I was planning to learn C, I chose TULEC, just because of its TATA tag. I already knew about APTECH and NIIT’s money-looting schemes, so I decided to opt for TULEC, which did seem nice when I first went.

A single course on C was charged at 4500/-; a one month course that is; The course promised ‘free' access to all their library books, tests, a test before certification and a project. All this seemed too inviting and so I with my friends took up the course.

To our horror we discovered that the instructor who taught us was in-fact learning C herself. She was a pretty inexperienced teacher. Later only we came to know that she was just one year senior to us in college! That is when, TULEC had promised of a faculty having minimum 5 years experience!

The test, which they claimed to be a very thoroughly researched, defied sense. Imagine asking programs like 'how to sort numbers','drawing lines using graphics'!; And most of paper concentrated only on theory rather than testing our programming skills.

Then suddenly, the TULEC center without giving a clue got closed. There was absolutely no response from them afterwards. The center then got re-christened as TATA-INFOTECH and opened up some 6 months later.

When we went there to claim our certificates and ask about our course, we were blankly told to join again. When told that we were former students of TULEC, they responded that in any case we would have to pay up around another 1000/- to continue the course and get the certificate, because some buffoon who operated the center had ran away with the money! And that was the end of it. We neither completed the much hyped C course nor got the certificate. I have vowed myself, never ever in my life am I going to attend such money-looters.

CONCLUSION

That is the problem. Most of the people aren't so educated about such institutes because of the ignorance of the people, these companies are minting money for teaching something which is in no way related to industry-level programming. Any software is best learnt by one-self and no company big or small, are going to give u good training. I would definitely not recommend this institute for training.

My sincere advice: STAY AWAY FROM ALL SUCH HORRID COMPANIES LIKE NIIT, APTECH, TULEC, ETC. U WILL ONLY WASTE THOUSANDS OF RUPEES.
