Beware of Travelhungama.com(Mr. Vijay) for Resort/Hotel Bookings. Few weeks back I was planning to go out with my family for a weekend break. As I was browsing thru the net, I came across this travel portal Travelhungama.com . The site provides details of hotels and resorts at several places. I enquired for the availability of accommodation for one of resort and was told that it was available and Mr. Vijay N(who runs the business) requested me to transfer full booking amount into his account and only then he can issue a confirmation voucher.
I promptly transferred the money into his account. However, the next day afternoon when I requested for confirmation voucher, he replied that the resort got full and provided alternative arrangement which I denied and requested for refund. Two days later he refunded the money deducting Rs.50/- for some transaction and communication charges. I was upset and requested for complete refund as he had no right to deduct any amount as he had failed to confirm the booking.
All the above interactions between us were over mails. Later, he stopped replying to my mails and phone calls as well. Hence, I would request all of you to be aware of this site and the agency as they are not at all reliable and credibility is questionable. Moreover, customer interest and pains are at the least of there interest.
