I am a huge HP fan and I have a computer and laptop of HP brand. Even I had 1 TB hard disk of HP brand which was exceptionally great in storage purpose with no heating issue. But, unfortunately I lost it 2 months back in my college function. So, I took the decision to get new hard disk little cheaper in price. On flipkart, I found this Transcend 1 TB hard disk with 20 percent discount with satisfying features. So, I ordered it online 1 month ago and It got delivered within 3-4 days and I appreciate flipkart for its fast delivery.
Its external features were good but after 7-8 days of its usage, it starting warming up quickly while connecting it with laptop. Its heating problem starts, whenever I use it for more than 10 minutes. It takes hours to transfer 15GB -30 GB data from laptop to hard disk which is very frustrating. Sometimes, data transfer stops in middle and it showing some software error. Because of this issue, I have to disconnect and again reconnect it for the completion of data transfer from the start. This results in unwanted wastage of time and power. Even its USB cable is too short for my purpose.
Firstly, I complained on internet on company's service center email id but no response came then I called them on Toll free number 2-3 times. A man replied back with so much attitude as if, he is a MD of Transcend company. I told him about newly purchased hard disk problem, he came with a solution of formatting it or if problem persists send it to the company, which will take around 1-2 month for repair or replacement. I formatted it several times but no fruitful result came.
I feel so regret that "why I switched from HP to Transcend just for little difference in price. Transcend is not worth for its price.
