I have a 2009 top end Innova. It has clocked a bit more than 90000 kms. Mine is an eight seater. I regularly user it for commuting to office in the huge traffic rushes of delhi, as well as the open wide express ways of greater Noida. Even though the vehicle is big, what makes it a very easy drive is its maneuverability. The turning radius is even better than my palio sports! The vehicle has a car feel to it. It generates respect on road.

I have driven it more than 11 hours in a stretch, but didn't feel any fatigue. The fear ratios are long and you can cruise in the top gear without feeling the need to change it frequently. The gear paddle is comfortably placed, almost parallel to its floor so your feet doesn't get tired as in my official car Tata indica.

The cost of maintenance is very less, and keeps you happy. The only problem I have faced during this long ownership is a failed fuel gauge, and I had to spend 3500 for it. Except that, their only cost that is incurred is on oil and filter changes during services every 9000km.

There is ample room inside the car, and can easily seat eight people. The ac vents serving the second and third rows keeps the inside cool and fresh. The third row is a wee bit small on leg room, but it surely can seat us average Indians, with limited comforts though! As for power, it easily takes steep uphill climbs fully loaded with a.c. on. I have extensively done the upper regions of himachal.

I did a lot of study prior to investing in this car. One of the best things about this car is its engine. Our is said to have a life of more then 3lac km. That is much more than an average person drives, until of course, if he is into taxi driving. The build quality is nice, as feels robust. There is vast room inside the car and it feels like a ship when you cruise on the road.

The only cons I have experienced is that the engine noise enters the cabin when you drive fast. Also, vibrations can be felt on the gear shaft in abundance. While you are cruising along the road, you won't even know when you are doing 80 or 100. But there is for sure a need for sixth gear. But these are cons too minor to be of any importance.

This is a good car suited to people like us who are salaried and have limited resources. You don't end up frustrated on huge maintenance bills. You can easily take your parents, wife and kids along without being cramped in your small hatchback. The running and maintenance cost is similar to a cheaper hatchback. Running is as easy. Ever since I have bought Innova, my palio is standing unused.

Definitely a good vehicle to be invested in. You won't feel the need to buy another for many years then.
