I am sharing a some tips on hostel life .it will help you certainly for the tips regarding this. I have spend my days in hostel during college and school days so I am better aware of it .
First let's talk about the benefits that I feel for the student if they live ijn hostel or they want to be . If one is living in hostel, he /She will get responsible towards towards their any work. They will learn to live in the condition without parents and they would automatically adapt the environment no matter they want to live there or not . Also they get familiar with the different people surrounding them as well as they could get help while study from their friends.
The food of the hostel is the main thing which a student consider before living there and I even suggest you to better check these things before living there .
Here are some tips which will help you lead a happy life in the hotel-
1) Always be helpful to other people as they are your new family .If anything goes wrong they will be their for you and you should make sure you are there for you.
2) You don't need to study continuously there. You should go out and make new friends, plays different games, make memories as there will be things that will always be with you.
3)Try not to include yourself in any fight as these scenes can become really ugly.
4)You should avoid being an addict to drugs, alcohol and numerous other such activities.
5) You should definitely make numerous trips with your friends to diffrent places as these days will never come back.
6) Always carry essentials things siuch as kettle, Hair dryer iron etc. to Hostel as you will really need them.
In the end, enjoy your hostel life as these moments will never come back.
