Being a car enthusiast, I was never enthused by the vast array of waxes and polishes that helps to keep cars looking new and polished. I have always liked the idea of a dirty car – guess it looks more macho. But with a new acquisition in our family, I decided to invest in a Jopasu Car Duster.
Why?
It does not make sense to wet clean your car every other day, especially when the car is used for daily commutes. Plus cleaning a car with shampoo and water is pretty hectic and requires loads of manual effort. Plus when the cleaning guy does not show up for quite some time, you are really in a mess. To add to the woes, when one is residing in a metro city like Kolkata, even with a covered parking there is dust accumulation all over the car that too within overnight. But then again a covered parking helps from nature’s delights like bird poos, rains and storms. So our primary requirement was a good duster which would aid in dry cleaning/wiping the exterior of the car so as to reduce the dust accumulation to some extent.
Purchase
A quick search in the market helped me to purchase this product – Jopasu Car Duster. Some ongoing promotions were going in the online e-commerce sites and this product was retailing around @399 INR. I quickly purchased it. Normal price for this duster will be approx~600 INR.
Advantages
Portability: The duster is the size of one’s hand and is pretty light weight. It can be easily stored in the boot of the car or kept in the rear dash. It comes in a chained bag which is really handy. Post usage it can be zip stored in the bag.
Easy of Usage: It comes with a long handle – advantage of reaching out to places on the roofs of tall cars. Since it is light weighed, it does not put much strain while dusting the car. A good 3-4 minutes of dusting and the car looks clean.
Quality: The build quality is overall good. The duster is aided with wax treated strands – one of the primary reasons I went for this duster. These specially treated wax strands sweeps away dust easily from the surface with little effort. The duster is reusable and when it gets too dirty just wash it with plain water and dry it. Some of my colleagues are using this duster for over 1.5 years for daily cleaning purpose with negligible wear and tear. Hence the product is durable.
VFM: Overall a good VFM product for daily uses and comes in handy if you want to keep your car dust free.
