SUN GLASSES - How many of you think it’s just another accessory? Most of the times we consider this a style statement, but other than that, it is one thing we must have and especially in these months, to save your eyes.
SHADES- These provides shade to our eyes, in the scorching heat. It prevents our delicate eyes and under eye skin from the harsh UV rays, covers dark circles, gives an edge to our style & attire and hides a squint eye also, lolzzz.
TYPES/ STYLES OF GLARES –-Unlimited!, Stores & Malls( like shoppers stops, lifestyle) these days are flooded with numerous designs and styles of eyewear, you get them in all possible size, shape, polarized /non polarized glasses, material and range.
U just have to decide which one fits in your budget and suits your face cut & personality! Men can choose from a sturdy yet stylish range, my fav. in this range would be Aviators, which generally suits everyone. For Women, Big frames & stone embellishments are in vogue and will stay for a long time.
REQUIREMENT– Always buy glares according to the activity u indulge in the most, throughout the day, like if u stay outdoors for most of the times, u need good sturdy shades with a darker tinge, similarly, sports goggles for a sporty person, light tinted glasses while driving, sophisticated thin rimmed or swarovski crystalled ones for an outdoor high tea party, & so on, Be sure about the color & shade(light/dark) of glass like grey, black, green, blue, brown, yellow, pink! As they all provide different view( that reminds me, guys, it won’t give you X-ray view!, BTW, do you know any such brand invented it as yet?!, lolzzz, ) and different levels of protection in sun. Remember dark color never means better UV protection, it depends on the quality of the glass, & not on it’s shade.
FACIAL SHAPE - One should always buy a goggles that compliments his/her face cut, for eg. If you have
ROUND face you can wear angular/square shaped frames that can take away the roundness of your face,
SQUARE jawed people can opt for round frames, to create a balance, (think bout it, makes sense!, :D)
OVAL face, voila!, lucky u, everything suits on this face cut.:)
BRANDS & PRICES – I know buying a branded glares will definitely put a h@le in your pocket but it’s worth it, & rather than then buying a cheap/immitated one, which will definitely not serve the purpose of saving your eyes & will distort the vision, plus u remember I told u guyz once that, FAKE is FAKE even if it’s spelled correctly, lolzzz. More over it will do more harm than any good, to your precious eyes .
Imported/Indian:There are many imported brands like Oakley, Dior, Ray Ban, Roberto Cavalli, L V, Armani, Gussi, Valentino, Chopard, Prada, ( GOSH!, mouth watering!, rofl) etc. their price range varies & starts from 1500/- to 1500000/-!& even above!, so as I said earlier “it entirely depends on how much want to shell out?”Then there is moderately priced(1000-2000), Idee, Vintage, I like Fast Track(Titan) product very reasonably priced and stylish as well.
SPECIAL CASES: People, please make sure that your kids eyes are also safe in sun. Kids can wear multicoloured, plastic frames available in kids stores like OYO & LILLIPUT(within 1000/-).& also give this sun protection to the elderly persons of your family, it’s a must in summer months. We should always wear swimming goggles(like speedo) when swimming, it prevents eyes from chlorine water and makes swimmimg comfortable by clearn view.
OPTICIAN: Rather than going to stores, I always buy my glares from my Optician, for two reasons,
1 He’s a dealer of many Imported brands so I get hefty discounts!, he he he.
2 I get them custom made!, yep!, I ask him to change the glasses to the lenses(0.5, cylindrical lense!), that ways I don’t have to change to spectacles while driving!, Most of the glasses wearers go for PHOTOCHROMATIC glasses in spectacles, by doing this they can also wear the trendiest sun glasses, I’m doing that from last 12 years, it’s really useful, at least to me, :D
DON’T’S- Never go for ill fitted frame, it should comfortably cover your eyes and snug the skin behind ears. As I always stress, Don’t just blindly follow trends, look for comfort, style & protection. When you are not wearing it, always keep ur glares safely in a case.
Never buy over sized frames, just beause they are in vogue, they don’t suit every face cut, plus you need to have a super confidence to carry those. The glasses should never touch your lashes, always get the shades you are most comfortable with, like I feel strange and uncomfortable with green coloured lenses!, yep! I have them in all colors, sizes and PRICES!, lol.
