Things to keep in mind while buying second bike

Recently I buyed a second hand bajaj pulser 150 from a local seller and before buying I met a local garage mechanic and told him about the same and asked him that what I should keep in mind while searching for second hand bike, then he told me that first of all see the overall built of the bike notice that it should not contain dent or worn out damage on the body , then see to it that the bike starts in one or two kick or within minimum self start try.Now drive the and notice that no unusual sound coming from the engine and after achieving certain speed leave the handle slightly and see that the bike is forcing toward one side or not.

Now drive the bike with maximum possible speed and see to it that it does any hicupps or jerks and in this check the pick of the bike also.

After taking a test ride then throttle the bike with maximum acceleration and see to it that no visible smoke is coming out of the silencer and if so then straight away leave the bike because it shows that piston ring of the engine is worn out and to rectify it whole engine has to be opened and thereby increases the cost of the bike.

If everything is normal then ask that when the clutch plate and battery of the bike is replaced and respectively see the tyres of the bike , is it worn out or the grips are in average condition because this will affect the cost of the bike.

After checking all the electricals and the suspension of the bike then ask for papers of the bike and check the ID of the person if all seems to be normal then you can buy the bike.
