5 tips that will add you in buying used bike : -


1) Always take time to think about the type of bike you want to purchase. There are many different types of bikes available in the market from superfast 1000 CC motorbikes to fuel efficient 100cc one.


2) Look for reputable dealers to purchase a second hand bike. Private dealers may offer bikes for low prices but they wont offer quality product. On The other hand reputed dealers may offer the bikes at Higher prices but they will offer warranty and they will even inspect the vehicle throughlly to look for damage before selling. A few amount spent now can save heaps of money and trouble in the future.


3) Make sure you check the bike yourself.Do some simple checks likeLook for oil spillage or leakage around the fuel tank or the exhaust of the pipe.Check the chain of the rear wheel rotate the rear wheel and look for odd sounds or obstruction.Check for the Electricals like the head lamps the tail lamps the side indicators etcCheck for the tires if they have worn out or not and even check for rusting or corrosion on the surface body of the bike.


4) Take a test drive yourself ride the bike put on all the gears ride an extra mile to check if the bike is running smoothly without any odd engine sounds. Make sure when you press the clutch and release it , it should not need any effort to come back to its normal position .


5) Last but not the least always ask for the service history of the bike so that you can know if there is any repairs done.Ask for the pollution certificate , no objection certificate ( NOC) and check the details of the RC if it matches with the details of the bike like the chassis number, model number etc.
