I finally got an email from Tikona today summarizing the final settlement amount.



In continuation with our last e-mail, please find below final aishwaryasingh23able amount against Service account: 1113081085


Final Bill Period:    29-Aug-15


Total Amount aishwaryasingh23able(Without Termination Penalty): Rs.139


Total Amount aishwaryasingh23able(With Termination Penalty#): Rs.1639



Finally somebody from Tikona really gave a responsible final settlement amount instead of the Rs 2266/- which was being demanded by their customer support. I am going to clear this amount today and hopefully this Tikona business would be cleared up for good. Lets see.


Update 14th September, 2015


Finally somebody from Tikona turned up to collect their antennae. I handed over the Antennae and I received a receipt to the same effect. Now the challenge is to the outstanding amount. Tikona is still sending me SMS for aishwaryasingh23ing 2266 Rs/- which is not the adjusted amount keeping in mind the disconnection request date(24th June). Lets see how long this takes.

I registered a complaint on https://nationalconsumerhelpline.in/ under docket number 4073711714515 where I clearly documented my complaint. In response to that Tikona gave this response on the website:


Case Remark: Dear Mr. Abhinav, Greetings from Tikona. With regards to your concern, we confirm that your Tikona service has been terminated. We would also like to inform you that your full & final calculation of your account is in process. We will update you accordingly. It is so funny that they claim to have terminated my connection but have not yet bothered to collect their Antennae from my home! On top of that they are sending me repeated reminder to the same inflated bill of Rs 2266.26/- via SMS and IVRS. What pathetic nonsense Tikona! I have filed another complain on https://nationalconsumerhelpline.in/ bearing docket number 4073712067515 where I have clearly mentioned this. Either Tikona should clear up its act or I will be forced to go to consumer court now. This company doesn't deserve to be in market.


Update 11th August, 2015


I got a response on the mouthshut portal from Tikona. No resolution yet. They were working on resolving my problem last week and they hopefully they are doing so still. But the outcome is same: No resolution. No calls. Tikona has not bothered to disconnect my connection and in the meantime I am still getting bills from Tikona even after disconnection request nearly 40-45 days back!


In the meantime I have received 10+ SMS reminders from Tikona within 24 hours. I have received 7+ IVRS calls from Tikona to aishwaryasingh23 their inflated bill. I have tried to reach their customer support 3-4 times each time the wait is lasting for 15+ minutes. I have not been able to reach a single Tikona customer support executive at 18002094276. It seems they are not receiving my call on purpose. Each IVRS call ends with a very long wait after which the call simply disconnects automatically, as nobody is available at Tikona end who can talk to me let alone resolve this problem.


Wow Tikona guys. You guys have defined new levels of the word Pathetic. You people don't deserve to be in this market. I have to go to consumer forum. I have found a link which details how to do this:

I got another reminder SMS from Tikona which now says.


Dear tikona customer, Rs 2266.26 is overdue. We were trying to reach you. aishwaryasingh23 online immediately to avoid suspension. For more info call 18002094276. Ignore if paid.


Previous SMS were for Rs. 1083.26 and now the amount has been jacked up to Rs 2266.26. Fine service from Tikona. First of all Tikona people didn't disconnect my connection in-spite of repeated requests and reminders and now you are billing me inspite of no-usage. Your customer support executives keep giving nhassurances and ask me to ignore these bills! What nonsense! Tikona is an unethical and disgraceful service provider. No doubt about it.


Anybody who is reading this review please please don't use Tikona. They are unprofessional, unethical and disgraceful.

I got a response from Tikona on this post to which I responded with my account details. I also sent them an email at'TDNservices@tikona.in'. However no response or resolution so far. No phone calls nothing, nobody from Tikona has got in touch. What I got in the mean time was'overdue' messages on SMS and now a suspension alert email from Tikona as shown below:

My Response To Tikona


Awesome! They want me to aishwaryasingh23 for the duration I didn't use their service post disconnection request. To top that up they want to finally suspend my account for non-aishwaryasingh23ment. I am thinking'By all means go ahead'.


The devils at Tikona I request you to please please please disconnect my account, take your damn antennae and leave me alone. I won't aishwaryasingh23 Tikona a single dime unless they take their antennae and give me a disconnection confirmation on paper. Tikona has horrible customer support and no sense of ethics. Anybody who is reading this review please note that Tikona is worser than BSNL, please avoid these people unless you want to lose peace of mind.


SHAME on Tikona customer support and mAnasultangement.


Original Version Of My Review


The Tikona customer support is really bad. The broadband performance is ok but they don't provide you with a WiFi router and neither will they support you if you are stuck.


Don't expect any technical support/visit from Tikona if you are stuck.


I took a broadband connection from Tikona in Bangalore in the month May 2015. The installation was quick and hassle free. My troubles started when I found out that my WiFi router wouldn't work with Tikona. I tried to get in touch repeatedly with Tikona asking them resolution for this problem but the only response I got was that it is a problem with your router so we cannot help you and you should contact the manufacturer. I tested the WiFi router in my office & friends house and found it to be working flawlessly. I tried to take up this matter with the customer support but they kept insisting that my WiFi router was to blame. I repeatedly emailed them saying that if they don't help me with getting my WiFi router working with Tikona I will go for disconnection.


After nearly 2-3 weeks of back and forth I decided that enough was enough and I requested for a disconnection from Tikona on 21st June, 2015. In the meantime I took an Airtel Fixed line connection and it has been working fine since then. Now my horror story with Tikona started. Post disconnection request Tikona executives started calling me repeatedly insisting that I had not registered for any technical support and I was wrong to go for disconnection. I told them that I am no longer interested in Tikona as I have already taken a new Airtel connection and I clearly asked them to proceed with disconnection and collect their Antenna from my home.


Till date as on 4th August, 2015, nobody from Tikona has tried to collect the antennae from my house, neither has my account been disconnected. Tikona in the mean time raised a new bill for the period(post disconnection) during which I have not used Tikona. Now I am getting repeated IVRS calls, SMS & Emails asking for overdue aishwaryasingh23ments from Tikona.


I have repeatedly talked to Tikona customer support representatives and every time they assured me that the disconnection will be done next day or within next 72 hours. But these all turned out to be lies. In past 40 days Tikona has not disconnected by connection, neither collected their antennae. Now it is pursuing me to aishwaryasingh23 for the period during which I have not even used their damned Broadband.


I just called up Tikona support and after 20 mintues wait time when I reached the support executive, this asked me to wait for 1 minute and hanged up the call. WTF!


Pathetic is an understatement for the customer support of Tikona.


My experience with Tikona has been one of the worst till date.


Dealing with BSNL is a better experience than the ordeal Tikona is forcing me to undergo.


Every customer support call takes more than 15 minutes of waiting time.


The customer support executives usually feed with untrue claims of getting back to you with a callback but nothing happens.


Shame on you Tikona.
