I watched this film with lots of excitement because it had Katherine Heigl (27 dresses/Knocked up fame) and Gerard Butler (he’s so dreamy) but all my expectations went down the drain when the movie finished.
The story is about Abby, a TV producer who works day and night and hopeless at romance with no love life because she works like a robot. Then there is Mike, a cheerful, outspoken and good looking guy who hosts a show called “ugly truth”. Abby’s station hires Mike and they start working together. Mike grooms her with tips to look sexy and flirting and helps her getting into a relationship with a guy who she secretly adores (This part is actually the best part). But alas! After some time Abby realized that she likes Mark and vice-versa and in the end they fight and then get back together.
The movie is like millions of other movies that have already been made on similar lines. It is a total waste of talent and good looks. Gerard’s shabby clothes and careless attitude takes away all his good looks and Scottish charm. The actors also lack chemistry and somehow the pair failed to click in my eyes. The best parts are two songs, “Hot and Cold- Katy Perry” and “Right Round-Flo Rida. They come at beginning and end of the movie so watch full movie for them. I totally love Katy Perry’s song and have been listening to it over and over again.
