Before cake and confectionary shops likes CAKES and COOKIE JAR took over the market there was something called The Sugar & Spice which I still believe is one of the best fast food outlets for cakes and pastries in town.Now a days there are barely any outlets available but the one in GARIAHAT crossing is still a place where I always go to from time to time.During my college days I have had a number of moments and priceless memories in this outlet
Let us now talk about the ambiance, customer service and the food.*
Ambiance: - Neat and clean floor, hygienic environment, no seating facilities but yes 2-3 plastic stools are available, the AC is always working smoothly and the dustbin is constantly cleaned each time the junk gets piled up.It is a small place but good enough to occupy at least 10-12 people.One ice cream freezer and a huge fridge for the beverages.Plus they also have packed haldiraam sweets and snacks on display.
Customer service: - The people working in the store are usually kind and sweet.Helpful by nature and the manager is a gem of a person who has been working there for over a decade now.If for instance you get confused with the menu then the people out there will definitely help you out and provided if you choose an item which might be stale then straight away they will stop you.
Food: - The most important point, the food which is always fresh and delicious.The pastries are always yummy and my favorite being black forest cake, choco lave cake, pineapple cake.The snacks are good too.One can try Chicken 65 roll chicken spring roll, paneer roll, chicken pattis, paneer Manchurian and a lot more.
Over all verdict: - Good food and good ambiance plus they have a huge catalog for party order cake as well.
