What if all that we see around us is a hoax? What if the world we live in is a dream world? What if AI (artificial intelligence) has overtaken the humans? All this seems too far-fetched but The Matrix makes u believe it.
This may be an odd time to write a review on such an old movie but as I have seen it only recently I would like to share my thoughts on it.
The direction of this movie is too good. The visual effects are superb. The acting is great. But the most important is the concept. You’ll remember it your whole lifetime.
The story is as follows:
An ordinary man, Neo, who believes that there is something wrong with the world, is
contacted by a mysterious person, Morpheus, who takes him to the real world, where the machines rule. AI has grown to such extent that it has overtaken the human brain. Morpheus tells Neo that the he was living in a dream world or a computer generated program called the matrix. It helps the machines to control the humans, who are grown in fields by some fusion and then are used as sources of energy to make the machines work. Morpheus also tells that Neo is the ONE who can save the humans from the machines.
This story is not like any other story you would have heard. To tell you the whole of it would spoil the thrill.
The idea of this movie may not be far away from reality. Everyday we marvel at our own creations, robots, high tech computers and other machinery. We are creating artificial brains and using them to our advantage. So is it not possible that these robots can change their minds and start using us for their advantage? It is for us to think.
The action of this movie is the best and many hindi movies have tried to copy it but they have failed to do so.
If you a have not watched this movie as yet then do so now. You will regret that why didn’t you watch it when it was released.
