Truly this is one sequel that should never have been made. The original movie is a legend. It is a landmark film, it is a benchmark for visual effects and background music. It had an excellently plotted script which made it unbelievably believable.
Remember the genes of the dinosaurs were recovered from mosquitoes who had sucked their blood and whose bodies were fresh and intact. The blood still is in a liquid state coz they had been stuck in amber. Especially two scenes that I remember the most are the ones in which the dino sneezes and the one at the end when the big dino catches the smaller one by it’s mouth just as it is about to jump. Compared to this the newer version or the sequel starring Jeff Goldblum is a damp squib. The script is highly unrealistic and makes you realize that this film unlike its prequel has been made only to mint money. Not for entertaining as the previous version.
If only Spielberg had developed a better rationale for the resurfacing of dinos, the reason given is absolutely lame. Do not watch it. Watch the first one twice if you have extra time.
