After this movie raked in the oscars, I just had to go and see it. And, of course, it has Nicole Kidman!

The movie is basically about three women across three time periods, and how their struggles as women in their respective eras are intertwined. All of them were suicidal, depressed, and confused about their sexual preferences. The movie seemed promising at first, but it kept going on and on, and I kept thinking ''OK, now the real story will start''. Suddenly the movie ended and I was left wondering what that was all about.

Personally, I don't like movies that don't have a plot. And this one didn't. Don't get me wrong, I'm not those types who likes action flicks only, but I need some kind of story. Not just a movie about some women just for the sake of it.

Having said all this, on the positive side, the acting was tremendous. Real quality stuff, this was the saving grace of the movie. Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep especially played their parts to perfection.

I would not recommend this movie to anyone. It's a waste of time and money. You're better off using the money to buy yourself a beer!
