I just finished seeing this movie for the 60th time and thought i'll write something 'bout this. Clint Eastwood returns as Man with no name. this time, for $200,000

dollars. he plays a bounty killer...capturing the notorious Tuco ( Eli Wallach ), handing him to the sheriffs and later rescues him and divides the money. Bill Carson, the only man to know 'bout the confederate gold, dies after telling the location of graveyard to Tuco and the name on the grave to Blondie( Clint Eastwood ). Clint is not portrayed as the good guy but comes out as the good one when compared to others. Also, Sergio Leone condemns the war when Clint's character says ''I've never seen so many men wasted so badly''. I've always thought that sentiment, action and comedy make a hit movie but this is one hell of a movie with none of the three...for that matter, it doesn't have any one of the 9 rasas(emotions). Another highlight of the movie is the music composed by Ennio Morricone. The theme music of this movie is still considered as one of the best western themes ever made. You got to watch this movie to find out why this is called the mother of all spaghetti westerns.

Some useless trivia:

Clint Eastwood received $250,000 for this movie, became rich and started his own Malpaso productions.

The budget for this movie was around $1.2 million, pretty high those days.

This movie was released in Europe in 1964 and dubbed for American audience in 1966 establishing Clint as one of the major stars.

Some early European versions of the film include a scene between Clint's character and a Mexican prostitute.
