The story starts with Robert Langdon, a prof. getting a phone call of a certain person’s death. He visits the place to see Sauniere the curator of Louvre dead with all sorts of codings around him. Langdon with the help of a gifted cryptographer Sophie who is the Granddaughter of Sauniere go on the run to uncover grave secrets regarding the Catholic church and a secret society Priory of Sion. The duo move from France to UK to uncover hidden secrets of the lineage of Jesus Christ. They take help from a crippled person Teabing who has done research on the Holy Grail. The duo keeps in the right track only to be faced by various obstacles in the form of cryptexes, anagrams pentameters and codes. It has a nail biting finish with thriller added in each page. Brutality has been shown in the form of an albino Silas who is also in the quest for the Holy Grail. It is a great book with great research done into the Da Vinci paintings. It is a book that needs to be read more than once to understand its intricacies.
