I love to watch movies, and horror movies and dramas are my favorite. I decided to rent this movie, I had seen the original years ago. The 'massacre' did happen, but they really exaggerated in this modern update.

Jessica Biel did a good job playing Erin. This movie is supposed to be set in the 70's, although they did not do a very good job making it appear that way. A group of friends are going to the concert including Kemper(Eric Balfour) who is Erin's girlfriend. As they almost hit a young girl walking down the road, they get out of the van to see a very troubled looking girl, crying and blood all over her. They are desperate to get her to a hospital, but when they go into the town, the mysterious girl keeps on telling them that they're going the wrong way. She says that they are all going to die. She shoots herself and dies. The group of friends are devastated and decide they need to contact the police.

They pull into a small, disgusting restaurant and a woman tells them to go to the Old Crawford Mill. Big mistake. They venture there and a ''Sheriff'' comes to see the dead body as Kemper and Erin look for another phone. The Sheriff is rude and wraps the body in cellophane. He leaves with an evil smirk. Erin comes back and wonders where her boyfriend is. We find out that he has been taken by the killer who tortures him. As the group looks for him, they find disturbing things like someones teeth.

As the night goes on, most people are killed off one by one except for Erin, who actually hurts the killer, but not enough to kill him. The ending because of what the girl said in the beginning of the movie.

This movie was disturbing. Some of the things that the killer did were extremely disturbing. I usually like horror movies, but this one was a little too crazy. They did the movie well though. The camera angles were good, acting decent, but the actual movie was a little too disturbing. I did however, think this was a good horror movie for serious horror movie fans.
