Tere Naam was a movie that I was looking forward since the promos aired on TV. First, this was Salman Khan comeback film after a year, and he had a different look in the film. Plus, since it was a remake of the tamil film Sethu, people wondered if it can capture the same essence as Sethu. So did Tere Naam live upto the hype, YES IT DOES!
Radhe Mohan [Salman] is a loafer, but a gem at heart. He meets Nirjara [Bhoomika], the daughter of a priest, who has just joined the city college. Radhe falls for her simplicity and innocence and dreams of marrying her.
Radhe declares his feelings to her, but Nirjara refuses him outright. Unknowingly, Radhe saves Nirjara's elder sister from an adversity. Rameshwar [Ravi Kissen], Nirjara's fiancé informs her of this incident.
But before Nirjara can express her love to Radhe, something drastic happens...
Director Satish Kaushik is in complete form this time around. In this film too, he executes the dramatic portions with panache, besides extracting a stupendous performance from Salman Khan. Even the climax is so effective that your heart goes out to the lovers!
Himesh Reshammiya's music is easily hit material. Oodhni is the pick of the lot. Definitely one of the best in this decade.
Salman Khan delivers his career best performance, while Bhoomika is excellent in her part.
On the whole, TERE NAAM is rich in emotions -- a fact that would go in its favour completely. A true classic in the love story genre.
