Ten Worst Indeed . Review on Ten Worst Hindi Music Directors

They are the so-called music directors. Music should be soothing to the heart and the mind. But these music directors have instead made music a pain in the neck! My list is as follows:

1. A R Rehman: The most over-rated music director. Only God can explain his undeserved success. Simply copies music from his Tamil hits to Hindi films and to top it, wins an award.(Saathiya). The music always has a distinct South Indian flavour. If someone said Zubeidaa's music sounded similar to Lagaan, dont be shocked. His recent'original' music consists of the Lakeer album. Simply not in a position to deliver original music at all. Taal and Dil Se were the only notable exceptions. Latest lifting includes the average Yuva.

   
   




2. Anu Malik: A known copycat. But has delivered some great music recently in LOC, Refugee, etc. But his stolen music will always surpass the original ones. Though, somehow manages to give that one hit song in an album.

   
   




3. Jatin-Lalit: Cant remember a single hit after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai(I dont regard K3G's music highly.Anywayz, the music was shared). Were in high form in DDLJ and Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikhander. But have gone downhill rapidly thereafter.

   
   




4. Anand Raaj Anand: After delivering average music in Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai, havent been able to deliver even average music thereafter. The films worked on include disasters like Bichchoo, Ek Hindustani, Pitaah, Pardesi Babu, etc. Made a laughing stock of himself when he predicted that Gunaah's music would match the popularity of Nadeem-Shravan's Raaz.

   
   




5. Ravindra Jain: I admired his ability to overcome his handicap. But that doesnt mean that he gave good music. Some of the forgettable films include Daku aur Mahatma, Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Jail Khana, etc.

   
   

6: Sanjeev-Darshan: God alone knows what happened to them after Mann. While father Shravan continues to give blockbusters like Andaaz alongwith Nadeem, they r struggling for a place in the film industry. Great beginning but a sad ending(almost).

1. Anand Milind: Again, a sad case. Their last notable hit was Jaanwar(new). Shone in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. But went steadily downhill after that. Recent movies include Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar, Police Force, etc.

   
   




2. Rajesh Roshan: A spent force these days(except when he composes for his brother Rakesh Roshan). Disasters include Na Tum Jaano Na Hum among others.

   
   




3. Bappi Lahiri: The Baap of Remixes. Consistently used to steal tunes from English songs. Gave a new word to stealing: inspiration.

   
   




4. Shankar Ehsaan Loy: The trio gave the hughely successful Dil Chahta Hai and Kal Ho Naa Ho but were also invovled in giving average stuff like Armaan, Dillagi, Ek Aur Ek Gyaarah and the yet to be released Lakshya.
