Gone are the days when we used to hate those ad's which used to pop up while watching our favourite soaps kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi(dont hit me for this one:P) or indo - pak match or indian idol. Those were the times when our whole family used to sit together & watch the serials & matches with great curiosity & an ad would pop up just when the winner was gonna be announced or during the climax of the serial/match.

Today the Advertisement world has changed completely. It has become more & more commercial & with the advancement of management funda's people are using them in B-schools & even in corporates. It is a very imporatant marketing tool for the new products that enter the market.

Well, let me leave aside this management jargon & come straight to the point. I am gonna list my favourite top ten ad's in this review

Although these ad's just last for 30 seconds or 60 seconds they manage to make an impact on you *

So here's my list:

1) Maa ne garma garam jalebi banayi hai(saffola or dhara oil)** - I wonder whether anybody remembers this ad or not. I think it was aired way back in 90's where a small kid leaves his home just because everyone used to hate him.And then while he is waiting at the station, someone tells him that "maa ne garma garam jalebi banayi hai" . His eyes brighten with the mention of the word jalebi & he forgets about leaving his home & returns to eat those jalebi's. I dont really recollect the product name here, but I think it was some oil probably dhara or sunflower oil(i maybe wrong). The idea of featuring kids in the ad's has been a great boon to the ad world, coz they are considered to be cute, carefree & they make the right emotional impact on the viewers.

2) Usne sorry bola (surf excel)**  - This is another ad which has disappeared from the television sets. Again they have featured two cute looking innocent kids(bro n sis) who are fighting on their way back home from school. Accidently the sis falls in a mud puddle and her dress gets dirty. The cute bro kicks it & fights with the puddle & says innocently "usne sorry bola". Its one of the sweetest ad I have ever seen.

3)Jee lalchaye raha na jaye(Alpenlibe)** - They have a series of ad's, all of them which are witty & humourous. The recent one with kajol & a crocodile following her everywhere she goes is damn neat. Also the other ad's of alpenlibe are quite funny & hilarious

4)Pappu pass ho gaya(cadbury) - This is one ad which had created waves  bcoz of the punch line **"papu pass ho gaya". There is a guy in this ad who fails consecutively in his exams and his dad(Amitab bachan)owns a small shop. Finally after some years this guy passes his exam & AB is overjoyed abt the whole fact. Also other ad's of cadbury are quite good. The ad where the girl dances funnily in front of the audience is quite funny.

5) Usne tereko uncle bola(Pepsi) -** This is a recent ad which features SRk & John. A cool looking guy approaches them and calls SRk uncle. Srk  throws the blame on John & tells him "Usne tereko uncle bola"(hee hee), really cute. The other ads of pepsi were also quite good.

6) Fevicol ka jod hai tutega nahi(Fevicol) -** Speaking about ad's how can one forget to mention fevicol. They have superb concepts. For instance one ad which shows a truck overloaded with ppl & none of them are falling apart. In the end it says "fevicol ka jod hai tutega nahi". The other is also quite witty where a mom is cooking food in a rural area & her child begins to roam around here & there. She then makes him sit on the fevicol ka dabba & the child cannot move thereafter. Funny isnt it?

7) Wah sunil Babu, badhiya hai( some paint)** - I dont really recall the paint name, but I remember this ad becoz of its lines " naya ghar, nayi biwi, badhiya hai"

8)Maggi tomato sauce its different** - I am sure nobody here remembers this ad's featuring javed jaffrey. Those ad's were really silly & funny  but it used to make me laugh when I was small.

9)Wherever you go our network follows(Hutch urf Vodafone)** - Remember this song "You & I in this beautiful world, green grass, blue skies in this beautiful world" CUTE na. Love this ad where the puppy follows the small child wherever he goes.

10) Sunny ad -** I am sure none of you remembers this one. This ad is about a guy teaching a girl how to ride a scooty and in the end the girl dumps him cutely. I loved this ad bcoz of the song. It was somewhat like this

"Pleased to c ur always with me,

been with me as fun

say ur gonna hold the distance

say ur love that u've found

alright, comeon

whats goin on

what ur thinking

did u say u need me like a garden needs rain

& then you go  and deceive me like its all in the game"

Really really cute song.

So dats my take on my favourite ad's

This review happens to be my 25th review on MS & I am glad it must have taken you for a nostalgic trip.*
