****MY PICK****. Review on Ten Best Hindi Songs of 2005

.The year 2005, has ended on a very positive note  with RANG DE BASANTI, and it started of very well too, there have some great albums throughout the year and what shined through the year was the music of some new and unknown musicians like VISHAL-SHEKHAR, MM KREEM, SHANTANU MOITRA, SHANDESH SHANDALIYA, INDIAN OCEAN and a few others.I have liked  quite a lot of songs this year.and here is my list of the ten best of the year.

TEN BEST HINDI SONGS OF 2005.(in no particular order)

1.**PIHU BOLE, PIYA BOLE, KYA YE BOLE

JAANU NA.*

This year belonged to SHANTUNE MOITRA, he gave some splendid music for PARINEETA.one of the best albums of this year.There were some beautiful melodies in this film.but my favourite is Pihu bole, sung by SHREYA GHOSAL-SONU NIGAM, its  a very well composed song, with a old charm to it, lyrics are also niice and brilliantly sung by the singers.

2.**KAJRA RE, KAJRA RE,

TERE KARE KARE KARE NAINA.*

.this has to be the most rocking song of the year from BUNTY AUR BABLI.It was a very different composition from SLE, had a very qawalli feel to it.and the lyrics by GULZAR were a highlight and the whole composition was done complete justice to by ALISHA CHINOY, SHANKAR MAHADEVAN and chorus.

3.**BAWRA MAN, DEKHNE CHALA EK SAPNA,

BAWRE MAN DEKHNE CHALA EK SAPNA.*

This one is a SHANTANU MOITRA composition again  from the film HAZARO KHWAISHE AISI, and it is one of the most.beautiful song I have heard this year, its kind of magical, the feel in this song is just great.this song kind of haunts me.

4.**SAMNE AATI HO, TUMHARE ISHQ KA DEEDAR HOTA HAI,

TUM CHALI JATI  HO TO, TUMHARE  AANE KA INTEZAR HOTA HAI.*

.this is my favourite track from the film DUS.It was a very under-rated song as compared to the more popular DUS BAHANE.samne aati has a very fresh tune and sound and also a very different composition by VISHAL-SHEKHAR.SONUNIGAM-SUNIDHI CHAHAN have done a splendid job in singing it.rocking tune.

5.**ARE RUK JA RE BANDE,

ARE THAM JA RE BANDE, KE KUDRAT HAS PADEGI.*

This song   is from the un-released film BLACK FRIDAY.composed by INDIAN OCEAN.This one is more of a fusion song, with  mix of folk-rock sound, great use of instruments in this song makes it a gem.ofcourse the lyrics and singing are another plus.

6.**TUMHARI ADaON PE MAIN,

VARI VARI.*

MANGAL PANDEY wasn't the best work of RAHMAN but there were a few great songs in it.and'main vari vari' was certainly one of them.I loved this song because I think its very catchy.and very unlike a RAHMAN song, a typical muzra song done and composed the RAHMAN way.KAVITA KRISHNAMURTHY did a good job too.overall a great song.

7.**POOCHE JO KOI MERI NISHANI,

RANG HEENA  LIKHNA.*

.again a great composition from SHANTANU MOITRA, from the film YAHAAN.Really its a beautiful song, lyrics by GULZAR are so poetic and SHREYA and SHAAN  have done an outstanding job.lifting the song a notch higher.HAUNTING is the word for this melody.

8.**KABHI DIL KE KAREEB, TUMHE MERE NASEEB,

YU PAYENGE SOCHA NA THA.*

.i loved the songs from  the film SOCHA NA THA, each song had a very fresh sound to it but this is my favourite .Its very romantic and melodious song.very soft and soothing.SANDESH SHANDALIYA composed as well as sang it too.great job done.

9.**LE CHALE CHALE.

YAADEIN KO YE KAFILLE.*

.this is a song from the film MY BROTHER NIKHIL, its again a heart wrenching song.composed by VISHAL-SHEKHAR.This song moves you because of the feel in it and SHAAN deserves special mention and praise hear for his flawless singing.

10.**KUCH PANE KI HO AAS AAS,

KARE DARIYAN KO PAAR PAAR.*

.one of the most inspiring songs you'll get to hear from the film IQBAL. SALIM-SULEIMAN have composed a very feel-good nice song, lyrics are great and KK has sung the song perfectly making it one of my favourite songs of the year.

I haven't taken any songs from the film RANG DE BASANTI.coz the album has released in the year end and the film is gonna release early next year.so it will be a 2006 release, hence cannot be included in the list of this years song.So this completes my list of the ten best songs of the year 2005.give in your favourite songs too.
