Another petrol price hike is coming within a day. Follow these simple suggestions and you can save a lot on fuel with your Nano

price. I got this thread from the internet itself, but feel worthy as I am acting wise being a nano owner!

" Indians, we are concerned about the increasing

petrol price. As petrol being the fuel of poor(considering petrol powered two wheelers and petrol cars cheaper than their diesel versions). It is a global phenomenon which gov cannot stop. The dollar rate is still on its destructive mode and we can still expect another hike in petrol price soon. So as wise Indians, apart from conducting strikes against the puppet gov, can act wisely by applying some fuel saving tips(pocket saving too.)

1) Consider vehicles as a mode of transport rather than a status symbol. Keep efficiency in mind while buying a new one. Its like paying 40 Rupees per month for caller tone, which you never hear and you spend money to make others hear it. Same in case of cars too.

2) Better opt for an economic petrol car like Tata Nano or diesel cars. But diesel cars being expensive(all costs more than 5 lac and you are not going to compensate the extra cost for the diesel car by filling fuel for at least 6 years), the first one will be a better option. Don't opt for an expensive petrol option as you are proving yourself an idiot by doing so.

3) Don't run yourself behind an engine which delivers more cc power. Whats the use of getting a 2000 or 3000 cc engine in a country where almost all roads have'bumper to bumper' traffic and the allowed top speed(even in highways) is 60-70 KMPH.?

4) Buy bikes(if you are a bachelor) and opt for a small fuel efficient car like Nano when you feel its not much safe to do circus with bikes with your wife and kid in the back in the middle of the traffic.

4) Practice to use momentum of cars wisely(force generated by a moving mass load) while driving if you anticipate an immediate stop or slow down. For example, if you spot a bump or red signal, don't raise the engine till the stop line, don't accelerate, let the vehicle move by the force already it has and reach the place of stopping.

5) Remember the fact that all pieces of same kind engines are manufactured by robots and there will not be any chance to make one better than other. If you and your friend is having the same car and claims that he is getting more mileage than your car, there is no secret other than his driving habits. Learn how he drives efficiently.

Follow these simple tips and you can beat the price hike by your own. " Be a proud owner of Tata Nano. Be wise, just like me and all who owns Nano.
