I surrendered my Tata Indicom Wimax Connection, have been using it from January 2008. Today I terminated the account. After using for 7 months, I decided to move to BSNL Pure Desi, Public Sector company at Last. I had Reliance, Tata Indicom but at last I moved to BSNL. Do you want to know why...
1) Tata Indicom Customer Support - Its even more pathethic as compared BSNL or Reliance etc
2) Connection problems. They say 384 KBPS, but when I do a speed test on other websites it shows only 156 KBPS. So u are paying for 384KBPS but getting only 156 KBPS. Dont rely on VSNL Speed Test, I dont believe the speed it shows... When I tried on different speed test sites, I feel my Dial Up was was better...
3) They have upgraded to 384 KBPS but have increased the rentals from 750 to Rs 1000. So I believe that 256 KBPS was pathetic and it would be a big flop. So by adding an extra Rs 250 they upgraded..I dont see anything great in this.
4) They Took Rs 4500 as advance Rental before giving me the connection. But VPN did not work at all and for 5 months It was not working and they never gave the Down Time Credit.
5) They Consumed my Advance Rentals for no service given and at last as a quick fix, they gave me a Static IP and the speed even became more worse than before.
6) The Signals are sometimes disturbed by Trees and the connection goes for a Toss with heavy fluctuations.
7) When I asked my Rs 4500 be given back, they told that its not in thier policy to return back any money to customers even though we have not received any services from them.. Isnt this strange. So even Companies like TATA dont spare, all just want money...and after seeing all this,
I felt our DESI BSNL Govt company is better off....Better to be with a Known Devil rather than a Unknown Devil... So at last came back to BSNL.....
SO I believe, this is what we Indians can Get in this Informative age.
