The biggest mistake I made, was to choose Tata Indicom Broadband(Hyderabad), without reading the reviews in MouthShut!
These guys are the biggest cheaters. One person came and neatly took the cheque and application form. That was the last time I heard from them. He also told me that they would deposit the cheque after calling me up and ensuring that the connection is working fine.
That was the last I heard from them. They have also encashed the cheque. My GOD! Can you belive it. It is just cheating. It has been 6 days. I have called up the customer support 7 times, each time spending 15-20 minutes on the phone. Till now there is no connection.
I then tried reaching the person(Santhosh) who came and collected the application form and cheque from me. But, guess what, the phone is never answered.
The best part is that they provide a online login for customers, and when I logged in from my office, I noticed that they have generated a bill of 725/- since the application form was submitted on 30-Apr-2007. This is crazy. I think we should do something. I would not want to waste my time for 2, 800 which I lost, by going to consumer court etc. but something has to be done against these cheaters.

Finally I got my connection, after following up continously with the tata indicom guys. The speed is good. But, nevertheless my experience(above) should make others be aware.
