While paying the bill, I could only blurt out that I never had a worse buffet food than what I had just now. I had this food 15 mins back and am right now so sick that this is the first thing I could think of doing. Let me pick the things which were notably wrong.
Person at the staff counter convinced the Foreign national(and me as well) that food was cooked at 7 am and they have been replenishing it for last 2 hrs so its freshly made the most hygienic food on the planet earth. How cunning and clever were his words?
As soon as I opened the first covered vessel with pasta, I had the view of the driest pasta(Farfale as labeled) possible. Later I realized that this is the only item of the lot that was safe and edible.
Next in the line was Pulao(Aromatic Rice). It looked at if it was greased in fat oil. I picked it as was unaware of the fact that it was the coldest and hardest rice that is past its expiry date.
Dal was the pick of the lot. I could not believe my eyes and picked it as well. It was frothing in the hotpot on the counter. I tasted it and finally my brain convinced my heart that it is indeed spoiled. I meekly informed this to the staff and they duly removed the hotpot.
Next was the chicken curry and I could find only one chicken piece. There was no curry but certain pieces in the utensil that I could not make out what they were made of. It could be rubber, latex or something that could give a jolt to the stomach.
Rest of the meal was so pathetic that its not worth mentioning. Or should I say that above stalwarts of the menu would not let me impress upon the readers of the horrible state these dishes were in.
Now comes the ultimate surprise. Either I am from the most sensitive part of this universe or others found the food great. Not one of the bunch who devoured the meal with me raised an eyebrow regarding the food. Its not that anyone would have noticed my reactions and might have thought the same of me. I hope this would go to all the fellow travellers of the future and they dont have to make such a bold attempt as mine(650 bucks of waste to eat).
DO NOT GO NEAR THE FLIGHTS OF FACY RESTAURANT by TAJ. It might infect you and make you sick.
