No Quality; No Reliability; No Service Centers. Review on TVS Scooty Pep+

Although Bollywood actress Preity Zinta made this scooty (TVS Pep) popular but in fact this scooty is not worth to buy. I bought it few years ago for my sister, it ran without any problem for one year but after one year it would broke down usually and stopped anywhere on the road and refused to start even after lots of kicking efforts, so we would have to take it to a mechanic each time to get it started and pay every time for this.

Yes its sleek and stylish look may impress teenagers and young girls but still I would not suggest to buy it. As just the attractive and stylish look is not everything.

So due to this starting problem and kicking efforts my sister chose not to use this scooty, since then I started to use this scooty as being a boy I was able to put efforts in starting the scooty by starting it manually(by kicking) but 5 of 10 time it started and rest of the time did not start.

Another thing is that whenever we filled the tank of the scooty and if we didn't use it for few days then all fuel was gone. That means if you fill tank and do not use it for two or three days then you will not find any single drop of fuel in the tank, and **you will have to take it to the petrol pump by pushing and dragging it manually. In my case the petrol pump was 1.5 kilometer away.I also told service center mechanics about this problem but every time they told me that the tank was ok.

Another thing is that if you do not use it for few days and if you still have some petrol in it by chance then too it would not start even by kicking. I used to keep kicking it for 10 to 15 minutes continuously then it would start.

There are very few service center of TVS and their service is not good, you would not find even some spare parts there, and they will ask you to visit again for that spare parts. And the spare parts are very costly too.

Today the situation is, this scooty is standing idle outside our house since two years and nobody is willing to use it, as it is totally unreliable, stops any time, and do not start or it needs lots of physical stamina to keep kicking for 15 minutes continuously to start(if you are lucky). I still remember one day I had to keep kicking it for 45 minutes to start this scrap.

I would suggest everybody not to buy this scrap scooty instead you can buy scooty of either Hero or Honda or Bajaj as they offer more better quality, after service, and more reliable engines. I am also going to buy a scooter either from Hero or Honda or Bajaj. Do not rely on the advertisements made by bollywood actors. They are just making us fool, as Bollywood actors get money for such advertisements.

Don't buy any bike, scooter or scooty from TVS.
